The Wise Box Receiver Version 3 is an updated version of the original Wise Box Kit. Version 3 features four PIR timer dials for each circuit, allowing up to 16 PIR's to be connected.

The Wisebox unit will control your lights, water features, electric shutters and gates etc. Once programmed, place the indoor wireless switch in a suitable location and the installation is complete. Enjoy switching your circuits from anywhere in your garden or home with the remote control.

The Wise Style Time Clock switch can be programmed to any of our Wise receivers, a maximum of two receivers per switch. Examples include the Wise Box, Wise Dim Box, Wise Pack Switch Receiver, Wise Switch receiver and any Wise Scene Receiver (if a separate master on and master off is programmed). This product is ideal for use in scenarios where lighting is required to turn on regularly without any user input once set up. A maximum of six commands a day, 7 days a week can be programmed. Alternatively, you can use the built-in functions to control your lighting, such as automatic dusk to dawn mode.

Programming Options

Option 1

Single Button On and Off
Programming this way will create an on and off from a single button on a wireless switch / remote.

Option 2

Dual button On and Off
Programming this way will assign your On and Off to 2 separate buttons.

Option 3

PIR / Timelag function
Programming this way only sends an ON signal, which is then switched off by a pre-set countdown timer. If you program to a PIR, then the PIR will reset itself to the pre-set time every time the sensor is triggered. If programmed to a switch or remote, then the countdown will switch off when it reaches 0 seconds.

Wise Switches / Remotes

The keyfob and the wall switch sold separately both have four buttons. Once you have programmed the button of your choice to link with a channel, that button will switch the channels circuit on / off. You can add additional switches and remotes to a WiseBox if you wish, up to a maximum of 16.

Common questions

Do I need Wi-Fi for this to work?
No. The Wise platform runs on radio frequency (RF), independent of your home Wi-Fi or broadband. The system continues to function during internet outages.
Is special programming software required?
No software, hub or laptop is needed for standard setup. Pairing is done by pressing buttons on the receiver and transmitter in sequence — any qualified installer or competent homeowner can do it.
Can I add this to an existing Wise installation?
Yes. Any new Wise receiver or transmitter pairs directly with existing kit. There's no version lock — Wise Box receivers, Scene controllers and Fusion dimmers all live on the same RF platform regardless of generation.
Does it need a qualified electrician to install?
Wireless transmitters (keypads, remotes, PIRs) can be installed by a competent person without mains work. Receivers and dimmers wire into the mains supply and must be installed by a qualified electrician. Free training is available — see our training page.
Where can I buy it?
Wise Controls equipment is sold through authorised electrical wholesalers nationwide — see our stockists page for the full list, or contact us for the closest distributor to your project.
